When choosing breeding stock, the entire animal is taken into consideration - temperament, movement and conformation. Dams have good feet, udders, a strong maternal instinct and are easy to work with. We strive to select sires with excellent movement, are agreeable and throw uniform calves with consistent weight gain. Animals for sale will have quiet, curious temperaments and strong conformation; with no significant health concerns at any point.
We anticipate having thirteen prospect breeding heifer calves on offer. A few long-yearling bulls, fully tested. Four lots of select straws of semen and a lot of three embryos. We will also have a charity lot of two weaned steer calves, with 100% of the winning bid going to support YESS. All registered stock will be DNA typed, parent-verified to both sire and dam, and have their nt821 statuses disclosed.
The calves were vaccinated and boosted with Vista® Once SQ & Vision® 8 Somnus With SPUR® in the spring and early fall. They were also treated with Safe-Guard when we boosted their vaccines in September. They will receive a dose of MultiMin 90, FerAppease and Saber at weaning. Full health records will accompany every sale. No creep, nothing but milk and grass. Fenceline weaned.
